Golf to Support the capitals

Caps on the Course is an exciting annual golf tournament dedicated to supporting the Des Moines Capitals youth hockey team. We raise funds to cover the rising costs that keep our kids competing — ice time, game fees, and equipment — so the price of the game never keeps a young player off the ice.

Hockey is a powerful way to build teamwork, confidence, and lifelong friendships, and our mission is to make sure every player on the Capitals has the chance to experience everything the game offers.

This year's tournament takes place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Beaver Creek Golf Club in Grimes, and we invite golfers of all skill levels to join us for a fun day on the course. All proceeds go directly toward funding the Capitals' season for the next generation of players.
